Isn't he meant to be Heisenberg at this point? You can't give your lead a character arc and then row him back into being the same sap from S1.
>b-but it's still his brother-in-law!
Yeah, a brother-in-law who's actively trying to send him to the slammer, or bury "him under the jail" as Hank put it, and unravel everything Walt has struggled towards.
Seems like dishonest writing to give Hank's death more emotional impact ngl.

you're stupid

Brother-in-law is barely one step above random guy on the street. Hank was a bald manlet who openly belittled Walt and brazenly took shits in his toilet - what kind of a man drops logs in a guest's W.C?
>>
>>214763590
Hank was supposed to send him sex gifs but died before he could do it
>>
Skylar should've fucked Hank
>>
>>214763590
Yeah, you are right. Was about to play the devil's advocate and write how Walt did it for his family, but then I remembered the scene with Skyler where he finally admits he did it for himself.
Bravo Vince, Not.

>>214763590
Still doesn't mean he doesn't care for them in the slightest. It became more and more cope when he said the family was most important but still he didn't want them to get Hurt and lost an important part of his life
>>
Walts philosophy is basically
>I traded fortune and fame for my family
>that means I gave up control
>my family owes me gratitude for this
>but my family doesn't appreciate what I did
>that makes me a victim
>that means I make sacrifices and suffer with no appreciation
>suffering means I am special and good
>the fact that I keep working for my family despite their lack of support makes me more powerful
>when I have power I have control
When he gets a family member killed this delusion can't be upheld. He then regains control by humilating his ersatz-son Jesse as a family substitute.

It all makes sense when you realize Walt hates his family but needs to love them to support his self image of a martyr for their sake
>>

They're bait posts
>>
>>214763824
This is some strange mental gymnastics. The show basically spells out the entirety of Walt's motivation and you somehow spun the whole thing around into your own headcanon that he hates his family, lmao.
>>
>>214763826
You are my advocate now?
>>
>>214763590
The point was that Walt was never a real gangster, he was always larping

Only reason he beat Gus was Gus' own obsession with Hector
>>
>>214763810
>Still doesn't mean he doesn't care for them in the slightest
But he's such a fucking pussy about it. Screaming at Jack to call off the hit. Begging them not to kill Hank. Giving up his entire fortune to try to save Hank's bald ass. Crying like a little girl. But we're also meant to believe that Walt has transformed into a a cold, calculating, ruthless druglord.
>>
>>214763810
Guess he took family for granted, only cared when he lost it.
>>
>>214763849
Walt's motivation is narcissism
>>
Hank was Walt’s Sasuke Uchiha, it’s not complicated
>>
>>214763891
Not solely.
>>
>>214763824
>I traded fortune and fame for my family
Where is this said or implied in the series? Walt always felt like he deserved more and this was his main drive after he entered gangster life
>>
>>214763590
He loved him like a brother in-law.
>>
Because The Narrative is meant to have you think it's all Walt's fault, when it was actually Hank's.
>>
>>214764036
Jesse's*
>>
>>214763644
before the show he was basically Walt's only "friend"

Did it happen in that order? Or did you think one thing then new information changed that? He was able to act a certain way about things and people he didn’t care about at all. Different story when it impacted on the people he was attached to
>>
>>214764051
Nah, not really. Jesse flipped and ratted Walt out. The proper thing for Hank to do was inform his superiors and eat crow. But he couldn't live with that and went on his personal crusade to bring Walt in.

I did last time I visited my best friend at his new house, but that was after two days of grilling. Felt impolite dropping huge log in new toilet but I had no other choice

What else is he supposed to do? Shit on his lawn?

Walter White is a perfect example of a person wanted cake but also wanted to eat it too.

He wanted to keep both sides of his life. He wanted the family and the drug empire.

He spends the entire season trying to balance both and even when it goes beyond the point of fixing it he still holds onto the fantasy that it can be fixed and people will go back to the way things were. It’s a delusion.

Hank being killed doesn’t hurt him because he loved Hank, it hurts him because this is something that he even understands is something he could never come back from. Nobody in his life will forgive it.

The life he had was already long over but Walt only in this moment finally realizes it.

What you are are describing is an infant. Stop being morbidly obese and maybe you will have a healthy, regular digestive system.

I can help with this. I always rewatch season 1 because I've never finished the series and it goes forever. The birthday party early on implies Walt was the smarter chemist who the other chemist woman wanted, but he never locked in.

So he gave up the company, the girl, the money, the fame, the passion, for a birthday handjob from an Easter Island statue of a woman while she was on eBay.

It's not about him hating his family or realizing what he could have had. It's about him realizing none of it was worth it. He didn't want the suburban life or the yuppy riches. He wanted to own people. He wanted them to know he owned them. Normies can't into this mindset so they call it "bad" and smugly say he must be a villain.

Yeah, wasn’t this the master bathroom attached to Walt’s bedroom? So Hank had to walk through Walt and Skyler’s bedroom to get here? Wasn’t there a bathroom in the hall or something that he could have used?
>>
>>214764494
He figured it out in the end, took himself out of the equation.

>>214763590
>white male who has gone from meek and pathetic to assertive and strong, actually turns out to be truly just a pathetic loser the whole time
>the only strong capable white guys are bad neonazis
Come on man pay attention
>>
>>214764494
Just weak writing from Vince. He should have put effort into pursuing the Principal instead of randomly trying to kiss her. That and breeding with Woody Harrelson are the biggest mistakes.
>>
>>214763644
Wait you guys seriously get triggered by people using your bathroom? You let guests use the shitter because what if you had to use their shitter?
>>
Vince is an overrated, hacky writer. Luckily he writes braindead slop for normies with goldfish brains.

Hank went all the way to the master bedroom toilet to take a shit when there was another bathroom at the end of the main hallway of the home. Have you ever gone to your inlaws house and done that? Why he did this is never explained. Everyone else was at the table so the guest appropriate bathroom wasn't occupied. Hank just went ahead and decided to invade the most private part of the residence with his shitting. This is in line with his usual bullying behavior, always pulling petty "alpha" moves, assuming the man of the house position every time he enters Walt's home, and dictating how Walt should raise his own children.
So Hank deserved the bullet just for that in my view. He wasn't gonna stop there. And if Walt squared up and beat his ass, he'd probably run to the DEA to get Walt put away on trumped up charges with planted evidence, because he was that much of a pussy. The only shame is he didn't get his just dues earlier by Tuco, Tuco's autistic cousins, or the turtle bomb.

the downstairs bathroom doesn't have a fan so everyone would've heard his big dookie, but hank is BM shy
