He's a recent example of the problem with writing geniuses. You can't write a super genius if everyone writing him isn't a super genius also. So everybody just says he's a genius, he says he's a genius, and he's eccentric in his behavior so I guess the viewer should believe he's a genius. But it's never actually demonstrated why he's ostensibly so smart other than the fact that he is the head of a massive corporation. So it basically becomes "he's a genius because... He just is, okay?!"
