The stage show had Elphaba fake her death and run off with the Scarecrow who is actually Fiyero come back from the dead when he's killed off earlier in Act 2. In the book, she's actually killed off and one of the sequels has Dorothy being put on trial for her murder.

First film was surprisingly kino. Looks good. I haven't seen the play in however many years but I liked the Dorothy tie-in. It felt too rushed there but with like 3 hours they don't really have an excuse not to do it properly.

The original books by L. Frank Baum are better. So was the Judy Garland film.

I know it’ll do well but the second act of Wicked is incredibly forgettable, all of the moments anyone ever talks about are in Act 1. So unless they change stuff this is going to be mid as hell
