I worked in a rehab kitchen with a chef who had a michelin star and a severe drinking problem. I can say from that experience that the show's portrayal of highly skilled chefs as autistic retards who sperg out constantly is at least somewhat accurate. He was a nice guy whenever he wasn't working, though. He didn't end up finishing treatment because he seduced one of the social workers and ran off with her; never found out what happened after that.
