Brilliant film. One of Ken Russell's best.

Surprisingly, the trippy scenes still hold up pretty well.

It's ok, could be better. Paddy should've given the script to another director, not that insane anglo. Ridley Scott maybe? he was fresh off Alien at the time.

I really liked it, wish head melter movies with actual good visuals were more common.

I think it's really intended to be seen on drugs. All the hard cuts, loud sounds and time gaps and lack of context hit much harder.

Which drugs would you recommend?

i like the part with the sand figure being blown away in the wind. its a good movie (a little druggie baity) but good nonetheless. I prefer lair of the white worm and the devils though

After I saw this, I got in the bath with the lights off. Completely dark. I didn't want it have access to drugs though, so I got a bunch of Inferno hot sauce packets from Taco Bell and drank them straight. I didn't have any hallucinations or transform though.

Superb cool one. A little Dickian. Psychedelic too. Texture and cinematography most comfy. Subject theme philosophically interesting. Ends as a thriller, it's nos b-series but really enjoyable I would always recommend.
