Weird hybrid sequel/soft reboot that's uninterested in anything but speed running the formula. Handful of cool scenes but otherwise really mediocre.
Better than crap like Romulus and Earth, but still pretty unremarkable. Fassbender carries it hard.

Covenant leaves every single thing from Prometheus hanging and doesn't follow up on any of it. Watch it as a stand alone and you change nothing. You're actually happier since you're not expecting a nice resolution to the cliffhanger and questions of Prometheus.

This movie was supposed to be a sequel to prometheus that really explored the Engineers homeworld, their culture, science and answered a lot of questions. But they were wiped out in the first 10 minutes of the film.
