It also depends on the director. For example Rob Bowman directing Brent Spiner on Datalore and Elementary got some banger line reads from him.

ITS TREK TIME
>>
>In 1988, Tierney played the role of a tough holodeck gangster in an episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation. In between scenes Tierney encountered the teenage Wil Wheaton on the steps outside Paramount Stage 16 and asked him if he played football. When Wheaton replied that he didn't, Tierney responded by saying "Why the hell not? What are you, some kind of sissy faggot?". When Wheaton replied that he was not strong enough to play football, Tierney said "Well, maybe you wouldn't be so weak if you played football!".

Bashir's entire genetic engineered arc takes away from the character instead of adding to it. I think he becomes really fucking lame at that point and while the character is better in early seasons, Alexander Siddig's acting is far worse.

People hating on Kim is a meme and Paris is a pretty deep character who goes through a lot of development.

>too many nobodies/clones
I recognized every single character on there instnatly. If you didn't, it's because you're a fake fan.
>>
>>214831982
She was literally the only person who ever actually befriended Worf
>>
>>214831729
I'll admit, it would have been funny to see the most racist colonist alive against bajorans defect over to the cardassian side, and show up in the back of a viewscreen shot in full spoonhead uniform. You see him constantly as a background extra from then on, and it's never explained
>>
>>214831729
I see a brown guy with a fake resume
>>
>>214831991
sonya gomez shows up for one fucking scene, she has no reason to be on this list

It's supposed to be fun, not an exam. Please roll back your autism dial just a little.

>befriended worf
>befriended data
>friends with picard

You niggers are just upset because you didnt have crusher to gawk at for a season

She was a great actress and actually DID DOCTOR

She had more to do in one season than Crusher did in the entire show
>>
>>214832045
Did you not see the episode in space Scotland with the space ghost? Uhh, kino
>>
>>214832045
>befriended Data
patently untrue
>friends with Picard
They don't have a meaningful relationship at all. If it's touched on, it's touched on once and they never return to it.

It's definitely nowhere close to the McCoy/Kirk/Spock friendship dynamic which is what made McCoy's coarseness towards Spock endearing.
>>
>>214832016
He's just randomly there as part of the crew on Dukat's little Bird of Prey constantly giving Kira the stink eye from the background.
>>
>>214832078
>patently untrue
fake fan lol, maybe next time actually watch the episodes instead of jerking off, okay?
>>
>Pulaski had some passing superficial similarities to McCoy but she fails as a character for not being exactly like him
You guys always say this shit thinking you sound smart but you just sound retarded and illiterate

Its amazing how much she makes brainless gooners seethe with rage
>>
>>214831789
Explains a lot. I remember, when watching the show, the characters would get into some mortal danger, and I cheered their demise. I guess I could feel the behind-the-scenes tension. How did that crap last 7 seasons???
>>
>>214832166
she needed a cuter haircut imo
>>
>>214832024
She shows up for a whole episode, as a captain, in Lower Decks.

Indeed!

What particuarly GOOD about him. he is totally functional as a first officer, but nothing more. Hes unintrusive. that makes someone a B at best.
>>
>>214832187
Beltran and Kim, whatever the actor’s name is who cares, always sucked but it seems like the behind the scenes dynamic shifted for the worse when Kes left and Seven arrived. Women

Wasn't Jeri Ryan getting nailed by one of the Trek executives before getting the part on Voyager? That was liable to cause some angst among the cast.
>>
Of all the NuTrek abortions this is the one that fills me with the most rage. Every other NuTrek at least had some level of intent - even if incompetently executed.
Discovery started out with some ideas that MIGHT have gone somewhere if Brian Fuller hadn't fucked off.
Lower Decks is cheap memberberries but the Thumb at least actually cares about Trek.
Prodigy has the animation style of a dogfart but Waltke and the Hagermans had heart.
SNW is a bunch of theater kids high on their own farts but at least they care about what they're doing.
Hell, even Picard is Patrick Stewart (incompetently) trying to be a storyteller if only to find he has no ideas.
But this.. THIS. THIS Is absolutely bereft of soul. This is literally some executive saying "Get me Spidey and Friends, but we don't have the money for a full episode, or money for Patrick Stump, so get me a soundalike riff and reuse the same sequences over and over."
And some middle management guy says "But what about plot?"
And the exec says "Just rip off Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and we can call it educational."
I won't bother to change anyone's mind on the rest of NuTrek - everyone has picked their sides and likes or hates or ignores it or shrugs. But this show is patently offensive to both Star Trek and preschooler entertainment in general.
Also, kids should not be in charge of asteroid removal and organs can be regrown like Nog's leg, so there's no need for fat vulcan kid to have Bionic Commando arm.
If you want to motivate Shatner to live another 90 years, show him this and let the spite motivate him.
This is TRASH. ABSOLUTE GARBAGE TRASH.

I’m not privy to that sort of thing. Even if she didn’t fuck a producer, my understanding is that Lien/Kes had a good offscreen relationship with Mulgrew/Janeway, probably like a mother hen sort of deal. Her being replaced by a sexpot who not only mogs the fuck out of Mulgrew but can also out-act her? That’s bad mojo my man
>>
>>214832580
No, she got togheter with Braga after the show started.

Ah, OK. Nothing wrong with that. Even totally in line with historical behind-the-scenes Trek.

Once youve created a sufficient amount of fanboys they'll eat up any slop you put on a plate, Voyager was the first trek slop

it also appeased all the autistic fans that whined about how ds9 is about a space station and not a space ship

Jeri Ryan talked about how Kate would treat her so badly she'd get panic attacks and puke at the idea of being on set with her

The Federation is a big place, without a doubt there’s a Cardi weeb or two who are absolutely enamoured with the Union and Cardassian culture. Although I think they might keep it on the down low if they don’t want to get their arse beat by Fed-Cardi war veterans, colonists from the boarder, Maquis or actual Bajoran’s (and God help you if your an open Cardi weeb after the Dominion War)
>>
The Borg Queen was possibly the stupidest fucking idea in Trek history

agreed

The part where the Borg start metaphorically chowing down on that helpless species while 7 stumbles around with screaming in the background is fucked up

'member the time when the crew of voyager made a steryotpicial irish human zoo so that they could expact all of thier xenophobic paddy hatred at holographic punching bags characatures?
