I watched it with this girl Ive been seeing who's black herself and she also thought it was cringy how much that first half focused on weird politics. And that's how I'd describe the politics of this movie, weird. Obviously left wing, not even trying to pretend otherwise, but still weird. I should also add I havent really liked a PTA movie since TWBB, I don't even know why I still bother. Didnt like The Master or Inherent Vice and I specially didn't like Phantom Thread and Licorice Pizza.
