Remove the out of story musical sequences (or just actually place them in the story) and then remove the shitty cartoon intro, and Joker 2 ends up being about equal as Joker 1 in terms of writing quality.

Todd Phillips said that he had Lady Gaga rewrite all of the songs she made for the movie to make them worse and told her to sing "badly" because he wanted them to be shitty to reflect Arthur's declining mental state.
