Wouldn't John Locke - an expert tracker and survivalist - simply scour the surrounding area to find the regular door?
Before you say that they had no idea of knowing there was another door, they literally guess that is the case, it's brought up when hurley asks how do they know they can all fit there
>>214840251Is it a good show? been meaning to watch it
>>214840606Seasons 1 and 2 are top tier television. Then it starts plummeting, jumps the shark on season 4 and season 6 is borderline unwatchable Still worth it for those first seasons and it's cultural impact
>>214840251He had a perfectly good and disposable Boone to do all the work, why would he waste his energy searching for a normal door?
>>214840606Yes, but rewatches are annoying because you have to fast forward the relationship and reunion scenes as they add nothing. Also season 6 has at most 2 decent episodes.
>>214840606Yes. Watch the first three seasons and "The Constant".
>>214840606No. It's overrated garbage. Bunch of mystery box nonsense that goes nowhere.
>>214840992Did you miss the part where they had to go on a dangerous mission just to get dynamite as a last resort after weeks of failed attempts at building elaborate trebuchets?
>>214840251Locke wasn't an expert tracker though. He was fairly novice and Kate was comparable. His only proper experience was hunting with Cooper. Locke also had blind faith in his decisions and pretty much cut out all logic. He saw a hatch and then was like 'this is the hatch it is important'. He didn't think what was in it or anything. Though tbf none of the audience really knew what the hatch was about.
>>214840606Yes it's good. The people who say season 3+ are bad are autists who hang on to every mystery and can't let go when the show moves on. Even then most of those mysteries are answered. The show is about the characters and their journey and if watched from that perspective its overall great. There are bad patches, but not bad seasons. These bad patches tend to be focused on the weaker or more frustrating characters. KATE
You have no idea what I would give to have been watching Lost as it aired and being part of the threads.
>>214841240This is the correct opinion, and I'm saying this as someone who's only watched a summary video on youtube
>>214841240>it's not about the mysteries, bro. >It's le characters and le journeyI swear you lostards are a bunch of programmed bots who spit out the same copypasted responses everytime someone calls out this piece of shit show.
>>214841320Sad lazy bait, you newfags really hate that people on this board who have always been here love this show.
>>214841240>>214841062Is it like the Millennium in its pacing, coz that series was a slog to get through with a "mystery" arc that went nowhere
Season 6 might be the most eyeroll inducing television I ever witnessed. Holy shit is it bad
>>214841320Proving my point that you are an autist who can't let go of the mystery box shit and doesn't understand characters or emotions.
I've been watching this for the first time recently. Up to S5 where they've gone back and are Dharma workers in the 70s. I don't get the nonsense about having to recreate (as much as possible) the circumstances of the 815 crash to crash another plane on the island? Why couldn't just travel there normally like freighter people once they found Eloise who knows where the island is?
>>214842004I cried when rose and bernard and sun and Jin reunited in season 2. I sighed and rolled my eyes when Jin and Sun decided to drown to dead together knowing their daughter would become an orphan
>>214842065Also Ben is annoying the fuck out of me even though he's supposed to be a good/interesting (not likeable) character. Literally every word out of his mouth is a lie/manipulation. At least sprinkle some truth in there otherwise it's just ruining the dramatic weight of his scenes knowing everything he says is BS.
Why Sawyer had no problem throwing racially charged nicknames at Jin and Sayid but never did towards Michael?
>>214841258i want to have hot steamy babymaking sex with sawyer
>>214842487He's american
>>214840856Just gonna copy and paste my post from the last thread:Season 3 is better than 2.I'm tired of the shit 3 gets. 3 is fucking great and by the way, there is literally nothing wrong with the hydra island arc. Even the filler of 3 is much more soulful than 2s. Season 3's filler is comfy eps like Expose and Tricia Tanaka is dead, whereas season 2 tries and dress up its filler eps where nothing happens by teasing at things that never come, 3 embraces the slice of life on the island.>A Tale of Two Cities>Not in Portland>Flashes Before Your Eyes>Tricia Tanaka is Dead>Enter 77>The Man From Tallahassee >One of Us >Catch-22>The Brig>The Man Behind The Curtain>Greatest Hits>Through The Looking GlassEnough fucking said. All these eps range from Great to GOD TIER.
4K remaster when?
>>214842695I'm a bit clueless but has there been a single 4K remaster for a whole tv show? It's gotta be so much work Twin Peaks one looked like shit, they sucked all the color out of it.
>>214841188>Locke wasn't an expert tracker though.DON'T TELL ME WHAT I CAN'T DO!
>>214841062>No. It's overrated garbage. Bunch of mystery box nonsense that goes nowhere. This is why I've had zero desire to rewatch the series ever since its terrible shitty 'resolution'. The story was utterly dependent on weird horror-tinged mysteries, and overall it failed in answering those mysteries cohesively since they never planned it out. "Mystery box!" That was the gimmick. The inconsistencies and contradictions kept piling up. It's a lot of silliness in retrospect, albeit well-acted. Imagine if they had made real plans, real resolutions and reveals that made sense. It might've become one of the greatest shows ever made. The series does not endure. Disappointed too many ppl. It will be a disappointment for anyone who's never seen it before, especially now, because there aren't message boards propping it up with endless speculation and theories, as was the case in its original run.
>>214840251isn't the other door camouflaged to look like rocks? or am I misremembering that>>214840606yup its very fun with a lot of characters to love or hate.
>>214840251He was never an expert tracker and survivalist, only in his head. Remember, he was in a wheelchair originally. I like to think that he became only an expert survivalist on the island, BECAUSE of the island. (He's my favourite character in the show btw.)
>>214842714One on the right doesn't even look any sharper than the previous.
>>214841240Flash sideways were a complete waste of time.
>>214842827Well I scaled it down for a better comparison of just the colors. It is higher res and obviously looks higher res if you're watching it on a 4k screen. But by no means amazing, I think it's safe to say they did not send their best to do this remaster.
>>214842826So you think he wouldn't have the capacity to search the area for a big ass door?
>>214842970It ain't worth sucking the color out of it. S1 and S2 were meant to be very warm in color.
Kino moment of the highest caliber.
>>214842716>Hey son, over here!>I'm over here, at the banyan trees.
>>214840606> to keep interest for the show high reveal some new mystery> never explain previous mysteries> do this multiple times with multiple plotlines that end up going nowhere> finally give up and end it without actually resolving anythingIt's literally like that. The show felt pretty good in the process though. I remember watching it with my dad as a teen while it was aired. Not sure if it would hold today.
>>214840606It's the best show ever made.
>>214840251The regular door didn’t exist until it did because of the Schrödinger effect from electromagnetic resonance
>>214842714looks like they tried to make it look like FWWM
>>214840251Writers didn't comd up with it till later. Hell the first time they found the hatch the surrounding terrain was completely different. Notice the cliff/hillhttps://youtu.be/w1ANEeZS5Ak?si=fjfPHewujALOMlXi
>>214844978It’s a magic island that doesn’t exist in a static location tbf, there’s nothing to refute that the island’s interior might not also be in flux
>>214845035Note to future tv writers: be sure to set your story in a magic place so you can excuse away any and all inconsistencies
>>214840251shit was happening at the same, wasn't on his mind
>>214841258I burst out laughing when I first saw that panel.
>>214843254What did they mean? What were the practical purposes of this?
>>214840606Watch it with the mindset that it's a show of the fantasy genre despite the fact it doesn't seem like it at first. It's not realistic and it's not scifi, it's magic.
