My number one issue with guns in movies is reloading. You don't even need practical experience to understand this, just play video games. Sometimes the character will need to reload or run out of ammo to build tension, but otherwise it's just BAM BAM BAM with no mental count of how many rounds are left, no unconscious tally of 6 or 10 or 17 etc.
