I liked the movie, I don't care if it flopped.
Just got out of the cinema so this is no doubt a biased, hype driven review but HOLY KINO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!This is an absolutely crazy ride of a film, it's got a runtime of 2h50 and I was never bored or confused for a single second, every scene is so tight and it's got this crazy crazy frantic pace, like someone took Uncut Gems and Sicario and mixed them together and gave them cocaine.The cast is off the wall ridiculous - Dicaprio is a fantastic 'lead' he plays a great everyman who is kinda bumbling yet also kinda still has his shit together. Benicio Del Toro is at his BEST here, he's this humble hippie sensei that is somehow the most competent member of the film, Sean Penn is JACKED and OLD and SEXY and he is so powerful in this film - if you've seen him in I am Sam you'll wonder how the fuck this is the same actor - he's a veteran racist incel that just keeps winning and winning and I love him. Supporting cast is excellent, I don't know the two actresses but they were absolutely wonderful1/2

I will be seeing it again a million times and I hope PTA never dies and makes a million more films. Also maybe the first time I've ever heard 'semen demon' uttered out loud and it was absolutely perfect. I completely forgot to mention the racist scientology group named THE CHRISTMAS ADVENTURERS? they're so ridiculous yet so competent and every idea and silly little joke and tense military scene in this film they all just gel together perfectly and holy shit it's incredible. Film of the year, probably.
