I watched "Die Alone". It was predictable but competently put together. The idea of zombies regaining consciousness any time they feed was good and interesting but they should have explored it more. The idea of zombies being part plant felt tacked on and half baked, like they felt at the last minute their script needed an ecological message but didn't know what that message should be. But overall it was fine. I would still fuck Carrie Ann Moss.

Then they crash, and Ethan wakes up alone in the car, as if after having crashed. But he's wearing different clothes, his cast has a bunch of tally marks on it (which we later see Mae adds to whenever he resets) and when he gets out of the car and goes looking for Emma it's clearly years later based on the state of the world around him, and then he runs into Mae. So it's definitely in the present day. But somehow he zombies out, ended up strapped into the car he crashed years beforehand, right after having fed. I'm not saying it's a plot hole, just that it's not explained, and it's confusing.
