We do but they are not mainstream like kingdom of heaven and a director like Ridley Scott
>>

The Crusaders kept getting BTFO throughout their history until they lost the "Holy Land" entirely. Not exactly many inspiring narratives to draw upon there.
>>
A certain religious group known for still trying to fight said crusades and committing acts of violence against the slightest precived slight makes it very difficult to produce historical productions.

One cherry picked counterexample does not a refutation make. Looking at the successes / defeats of the Crusaders in their totality it's clear they were a bunch of failures.
>>
>>214848683
You really expect the Jews that run the film industry to allow anything to be made where Christianity is shown in a positive light?

Nta but the reconquista lasted for centuries during which muslims were constantly btfo'd
>>
because
crusades = bad

even they know they'd fuck it up.

>what is the defeat of the caliphate in Sicily, Spain, Southern France, the victories of Lionheart and King Philip of France
That’s not to mention that the Crusaders held onto the Holy Land for a few centuries, literally longer than many of the caliphates have.
>>
>>214848683
How about a movie about the IV crusade taking over Constantinople and establishing mini crusader states all over Greece
>>
>>214848683
We have enough jewish media.
>>
>>214849867
who would possibly want to watch that?
>>
im gonna stab the next faggot irl who says anything bad about the crusades
>>
>>214848683
People who shot movies are the exact people who were targeted by crusades, aka muslims and hussites.
>>
>>214848821
Then where is a movie in which crusaders are the bad guys and innocent diverse muslims are the good guys?
>>
>>214850318
Again?
>>
>>214850061
Certainly not people who idolize crusaders
>>
why would anyone want to watch hollywood revised history in current year
>>

Crusaders states lasted centuries

Antioch
should be a fucking $200 mil budget massive movie

>1000 heavy cavalry charge against 12,000 infantry
>siege of Antioch
>starvation inside and out
>traitors, sneak in through one of the gate
>massacres of the entire city
>the citadel inside the city is still a heavy fortification being defended
>35k muslim force arrives
>bessiegers being bessieged
>starvation maxes out
>mystic claims to find the spear that killed christ
>the crusaders veterans march out on foot in full force
>with the spear of destiny as banner
>absolutely route far FAR numerically superior force

I blame shit like Tiktok and all this Marvel shit. Everything has to be fast paced and action packed. These fucking Ipad kids will not be able to watch something like Jaws because the shark isn't attacking the boat in every single scene.

September 5 was a great film that got shafted by the Oscars, movie theaters being too scared to play it and instead having Bollywood slop, and these fucking tech sites/apps that are just decreasing peoples' patience and intellect.

>>214850809
This. I would be open to a film about the creation of the Yuan Dynasty.
>>
>>214850809
Hulegu Khan, who invaded Middle East, was friendly towards Christians, as his mother was a Nestorian. By that time Crusader States weren't a factor anyway
>>
>>214850942
>>mystic claims to find the spear that killed christ
How very convenient
>>
>christian and Muslims fight for years for the holy land
>falls into Jewish hands
I mean folks, where’s the lie?
>>
>>214848683
forget that we need movies, or better yet, a series on the Diadochi
>>
>>214848799
did Spaniards ever make a movie or serie about it?

It seems pretty obvious why.
Genocide is ok in some cases though.

Yeah he later lost credibility and died after walking on burning coals to prove his piety (the Crusade had developed factions that either agreed or denied the occurrence of miracles during the Crusade)
>On 8 April 1099, Peter went through an ordeal by fire by his own choice in an attempt to prove himself. It is very likely that he was severely burned in the process, although he claimed he was uninjured because Christ had appeared to him in the fire and that he had been hurt afterwards when a crowd rushed to him and was rescued by Raymond Pilet d'Alès. He died on 20 April.[5]

El Cid is an iconic film on early Reconquista era
There is a drama tv show about Isabella of Castille (as she wrapped up reconquista and combined Castille with Aragon)
>>
>>214849729
You know the Caliphates literally had over seas military bases right outside of Constantinople, and had naval supremacy for their whole lifespan

They didn’t care about Western Europe (aside from raids to get slaves), their goal was always to conquer Constantinople.

Talking about their losses in Western Europe is like Vietnam or Afghanistan bragging about defeating America (tldr they weren’t even fighting it’s full force)
>>
>>214850739
>2 centuries before betting btfo’d by Turks

Nah nigga they were losers, the Mongols can at least claim credit for taking over the Abbasid capital

They don't even make movies about the Byzantines, not one, you think they would make one about this? They simply don't care
>>
>>214848822
The arn films were pretty decent but the writer of the book is a commie retard who worships saladin and demonizes the crusaders.
>>
>>214853794
Why did the Muslims struggle for so long to kick out a small pocket of Crusader states hampered by shit logistics and gradual decrease in crusading?
>>
>>214848683
cant really make a movie about Christian child trade today.

Cause they were more focused on internal rivalries and in reality the “holy land” was just an underdeveloped region of land that nobody ever really cared about in terms of economics or military, it only had just religious value.

When the Abbasid caliph heard of the crusaders, he simply didn’t care
Which was one of the reasons people like Salahuddin decided to take things into his own hands and begin over throwing all the other Muslim rulers like the Fatimids and Zengids and rebuilding a new empire and even made the Caliph his puppet
In Arab sources they never took the crusaders seriously or saw them as a threat
From the crusaders/europeans POV, obviously to them it was a big thing to goto war with the world’s then superpower civilization, so in Western history books it’s written as a big event
In fact the Muslims wouldn’t really start seeing it as a big important historical thing until like modern times (due to having a Western inspired educational system)
>>
>>214854097
>When the Abbasid caliph heard of the crusaders, he simply didn’t care
As if the Abbasids had much political power, it was the Seljuk Turks that ran things in his name. Kerbogha reacted by sending 35k+ coalition to relieve Antioch and got famously btfo.

> Talking about their losses in Western Europe is like Vietnam or Afghanistan bragging about defeating America (tldr they weren’t even fighting it’s full force)
So admirable and true? ‘It doesnt count unless you crushed all our nations! You cant just take pride in repelling our invasion force!’ I mean come on
>>
I think we should be better friends and i reject the accusation that Muslims and those living in the Middle East were simply degenerate and incompetent madmen, or that the Christian and European forces were just great and noble superior Crusaders. Dont make yourself stupid thinking things like that
