One time I thought I booked a seat in the middle by myself but then two couples showed up and sat to my left and right. They started to make out next to me and would look in my direction and laugh. It was too awkward and I couldn't find the courage to get up to use the restroom or even eat my popcorn or drink my soda. It ruined going alone for me.

I stopped going to cinemas with my friends because they can't stop eating popcorn with their mouth open. I told them it annoys me and they didn't care. It's not my job to teach them manners, and it's not my duty to pay for a movie and be annoyed by an animal that I willingly invited to come with me.
