Louis C.K. wrote, directed and starred in a movie, "I love you daddy" which also got the metoo treatment and nobody except a few film-festival goers have seen it

The merger gave them an option to claim that not releasing a 90 million dollar franchise builder was justifiable on business reasoning alone and not due to the fact that it was unreleasable. I guarantee even if the movie was a 5/10 they would be clamoring to have gotten it out on streaming. In fact they spent like 20 million on the Snyder cut, studios always hope that a release could turn into a big hit.
