Ah my force sensitive Jedi daughter Leia Skywalker, I felt your presence because I am a Jedi Master and am your father.

This is why Empire isn't in my headcanon. Only Andor, Rogue One, and A New Hope are in my headcanon. It's a based series about a crazy powerful empire building a superweapon and one crazy farmboy who blows it up with the help of a shaggy dog and a wizard.

didn't Vader only really started sensing Luke was force sensitive when he started to tap into it during the trench run, in other words he probably wouldn't sense much from Leia since she probably didn't know she could even use it

Lucas is a coward for not introducing Nelith Skywalker in ROTJ. He felt there wasn't time for a new character. Yet we spent all this fucking time with Ewoks. Put her in space as a pilot. Luke meets her before the ships department. It then gives a reason as to why the Emporeor is holding back and not just destroying the rebel fleet, he wants to keep Nellith alive.

Is it ever established that Jedi can sense untrained force users? Isn't what gives Liam neeson the idea anakin is a force user is because he can take part in a race no normal person does?

>Alderaan eh? My dead wife’s parents were from Alderaan. Surely this is a coincidence and not the force.

They can only sense them if they're actually influencing or being influenced by the Force somehow. Quigon off the Chosen One himself only gets a "hm there's something about this boy" which is why he does the midichlorian count thing and is then detecting him while Anakin is podracing.

Vader couldn't sense anything from Leia because she wasn't using the Force. He didn't sense anything from Luke either until Luke tried letting the Force guide him, at which point Vader immediately knew that there was a VERY strong Force-attuned person flying the ship in front of him.

Why he didnt fuck her right there if he didnt know she was his daughter?

they can sense when the force is strong with someone, even in those that haven't been trained to use it. that's how they get younglings for training. still, the force may be strong with leia, but wether she's strong in the force or not is irrelevant to what happened in the movie. leia is still just a senator and the force doesn't give you knowledge of someone's ancestry

They were probably from Naboo.

Can't believe he drugged and sexually tortured his daughter for hours in end. This was how family movies were back then

In ROTJ Vader has the ability to read minds and this is how he learns about Leia's secret relation to Luke.

But where was this ability before? When he boards the Tantive V, one of the first things we see him do is throttle a prisoner while demanding to know where the plans are. He throttles so violently in his frustration that the man dies before revealing anything. Seems like this would have been the ideal time to use that mind-reading ability of yours, Vader! He also tortures Leia for information in her cell when he might have just read her mind instead. It's also odd that when Vader and Luke duel at the end of TESB, Vader apparently doesn't think it's worth the effort to read Luke's mind here. He could acquire all kinds of useful knowledge if he browsed Luke's thoughts, like the fact that Master Yoda is alive on Dagobah for one thing.

I think at some point Naboo must have been Alderaan. Curious, why he changed it.

Probably because TPM is a kid's film and Lucas thought it would be too dark to situate the wacky Gungarinos on Alderaan and thus give them the fate of being flippantly genocided in ANH. As Gungans are not a spacefaring people, it would mean their total annihilation with the one possible exception of Jar Jar who I suppose might still be cunting around on Coruscant at that time.
