>Something big is going down. This place is crawling with Strangers...>You can't expect to know everybody!>No, Hank, uh, Strangers are undercover Guild operatives.>We gotta warn Pop!>No, Dean. This is Guild business. Your father isn't in any harm. The Guild works clean. Professional. It's surgical with them. In a way, they're the only organization I still respect. >And they kill clean. Don't let dames get in the way.>Honestly, Hank, where do you pick that stuff up? I never see you read.>It's weird right?>It's like he channels dead crazy people!>. . . You think it's a cry for help?Best Animated Series Ever. If you think otherwise then you're too young or too old.
>>214920420I like how later on its implied Hank gets all those references because his learning bed sometimes picks up VH1 classics.
Who was the creepy fucking snowstorm teddy bear?
>>214920420>Honestly, Hank, where do you pick that stuff up? I never see you read. This is the funniest line.
>>214920445Wish I knew. I've watched the entire series so many times and I can't find any clues. Maybe I'm retarded but he might be a new character that never got the chance to get expanded on because of [as]'s new leader cancelling everything good. Don't know what that bitch's problem was but she cancelled Metalocalypse, Venture Bros, ATHF, everything good [as] had going for it in regards to original programs. And now what? Zoomers and Gen A don't watch it. Nobody watches [as] anymore.
>>214920445Absurdly, he's a reference to a performance art piece called Sleeper
>>214920445that's dawn, their long lost sister
>>214920536Damn I was hoping someone would have a good theory cooking.>>214920544Yeah that bear does have a similar creepy vibe. I could see them just randomly doing that. That season was so fucking real and hard that it needed a bit of absurd.
WHERE THE FUCK CAN I WATCH THIS BEYOND SEASON 3? LEGALLY? It's not on HBO anymore. Netflix only has the first 3 seasons. I "own" up to season 5 on Xbox Live but Microsoft doesn't let you access your shit if you don't have an Xbox. I haven't owned an Xbox since the 360. FUCK. Feel like my only options are buying the DvD boxsets or pirating.

>>214920848>Big man.>Yes, Dean, you're a big man now. Brock and I are ... LADY SMITH BLACK MAMBASO!!!
>>214920544Dubs confirm. Tangentially related, vegans BTFO'd. >yfw plants communicate with pheromones, have pain responses and alert each other to predators>yfw the smell of fresh cut grass is a pheromone response alerting other grass patches that a predator is nearby, which causes surrounding grass to release a chemical that makes them taste bitter
>>214920420I just started this, I'm currently at the episode where dr. Strange is their neighbor and he has a hot daughter. I'm liking it so far but I'm not really feeling Brock. Does it keep the attention on him as much later on?
>>214921517Lol, Brock becoming less prominent is usually something people complain about. Think it doesn't happen til season 5 though
>>214921517Brock is the Ventures' Bodyguard. Even when he's not. He's got a few multi-episode spans but he's not the main character. The show is called the Venture Brothers. And with that in mind, every season is about, in broad strokes, Hank and Dean or other Venture Bros.
>WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO TO HIM?!>ONLY WHAT SHE ASKED ME TO DO!>THIS MAN WAS LIKE A FATHER TO ME!>Well, think of this woman like a mother to you.>AHHHH *SLAP*>Your father!>*SLAP*>Your mother!>*SLAP*>Your father!>*SLAP*>He's your mother! *sobbing*>[*No Women, No Children!*]
>>214921554>>214921585That's good, I like those two. I was afraid that it would just be Brock barging in and solving the problem of the week.
>I'm supposed to be the guest of honor!>and this isnt honorable or guesty-of!
>>214921654Watch Escape to the House of Mummies Part Two. There is no Part One or Part Three. It's basically a 1 off that perfectly encapsulates what Venture Bros as a show is about.
>>214921654Keep in mind, Venture Bros is a parody/satire of Hannah Barbera-esque adventure serials as well, to a lesser degree, DC and Marvel. Namely Johnny Quest and Justice Friends with a dash of 60s/70s Marvel and healthy dashes of 80s punk rock, prog rock and more. Venture Brothers is essentially a love letter to all the cheesy cartoons and pop culture Gen X and Millenials grew up with.
>tfw born in '88>tfw Dad is from Land O' Lakes country>tfw Dad rocked a glorious golden mullet from the 80s-90s>tfw Dad played in a rock band from the 80s-90s>tfw Dad won trophies in football and basketball in highschool>tfw Dad is 6ft+ with heavy Norwegian heritage>tfw Dad is a Minnesota Vikings fanDespite my Dad's history and Doc Hammer's history contradicting each other. I'm convinced Brock Samson is based off my Dad. I like Doc, he's a great writer. But I love my Dad. But I'm convinced they had a run in at some point in the 80s. A run in that was influential enough to birth the character of Brock Samson.
They softened Brock up in later seasons for the worse, in my opinion. I loke rage fueled psycho Brock. They even changed his design to be less blocky and angular.
>>214920420I discovered so many awesome songs and bands thank to The Venture Brothers.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=88sARuFu-tchttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fq4VHd4Azukhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-zg-MhEXb4cto list just a few but really there is so much more. It is the show that keeps on giving, every time you go back there is something new.I know it pains people that is gone but really it is to be celebrated it was created in the first place. A magical show for those in the know
>>214920420I wonder if the show will end up coming back as "straight to dvd" movies like futuramama
>>214920445His head silhouette looked like brock during one scene. Nkt sure if it was a red herring. We'll never know now because corporate CUNTS.The movie was nice but a bit of an anticlimactic ending, imho.

More and more I'm gradually realizing that VB was one of the best tv shows ever made. Like definitely top 10, up there with Sopranos, the wire, all that bullshit. It's an unbelievable accomplishment, given how long their run was, how consistent they were in terms of quality. I think if more people knew about it, and the subject matter wasnt so specific and niche, it would be considered among the greats. Its brilliance is just hard to discover.
>>214922641>one of the best tv shows every madei would consider it the best, at least for me, and part of me is glad it does not have mass appeal. to quotes Doc Hammer from the making of book>Before you made the mistake of reading this book, you felt like you, and you alone, understood The Venture Bros. You felt the show was written for you.>You were right!>It was.>Don't let this book tell you differently. Don't believe the lies! Forget the half remembered anecdotes and cryptic scribbles! It's still your show! Nobody will ever understand it but you! You simply stumbled upon our love letters.>"Ignore me!">Yours always,>Doc Hammer It was not made for the masses it was made just for you anon
