Every time I see this movie I think of that study that mapped movies, iirc by personality types of the fans, and found that the two most polarized movies were Heathers and Friday Night Lights, with almost no overlap in viewership
>>214928837Ending is kinda dumb but overall a great flick
I LOVE MY DEAD GAY SON!
It's a relic from a time that can no longer existModern high school kids are about half morbidly obese and/or stricken with some kind of redditbrain autismo retard "disease." They do not have complicated enough personalities to suffer angst like you see in this movie and the traditional social structures that inspired it no longer exist because you can't do that with 300 pound screen kiddies. The TV reboot they attempted where the "heathers" were all fags and trannies was pretty hilarious but also deserved to get cancelled after two episodes

>>214929667I still do the passive-aggressive bit with my parents that he did with his dad. >Hey great job son, thank you
>>214928966I like both of them
I cannot stand Christian Slater in this film, very punchable face. Winona is good, favorite scene is the dream funeral where the first heather shows back up to complain about Heaven.

>>214932311kekLove the movie, it's extremely funny at times.
Very good movie. The musical is a fascinating case study in a production that has gotten worse with every single iteration.

>>2149288374K looks great. It's a film that's gotten better as I've grown older.>>214928966Years ago, I was dating this sporty chick I wasn't really into, so I put on this movie to see how she'd respond. Broke up the same night. It was a relief because she became really clingy after one date.
>>214934862Sure. The musical was always, you know, a musical so it's for gay people. But they went too far. I'm one of those people who's gay enough to like musicals but straight enough to post chuddy criticisms of them on 4chan.>Replaced lots of swearing and offensive lines from the musical, literally swapping in replacement dialogue from the high school script (why does Heather for kids even exist?) into the mainline Broadway/West end productions. E.g. Heather no longer leaves her three TVs to "ghetto moms on crack" in her suicide note >Got rid of Kurt and Ram's big song, "Blue" because it was too funny and swapped for a shitty song to make them more le evil rapists (Even though we're supposed to feel bad for them and killing them is supposed to be a bridge too far wtf)>Gave Green Heather her own song that fucks up the whole flow of the musical and makes no thematic sense - "Never shut up again" is a triumphant ballad style song even though Green Heather becoming the new Red Heather is supposed to be a bad thing, not empowering. (And it just so happens that Green Heather is always played by a minority actress in every production after the very first Broadway run. Wonder why they chose to lionize her character like that) >All costumes and casting got worse. Original had an actress with a literally perfect Winona Ryder impression and the Heathers' outfits were amazing. New productions have worse everything in terms of costumes, casting, set design in my opinion TLDR is they went woke and memoryholed the second best song and it sucks now
is it pantyhose kino?
>>214936130nylons are my thing and i have no idea why
>>214929300just imagine if the ending would be the obvious and coherent ending. i feel really cheated, like if code hayes still exists in that era to that kind of narrative cowardice.
