Universal couldn’t make a Frankenstein movie off the ground. Del Toro really wanted to make a Frankenstein movie and Netflix was more than happy to give him a 120 million to make it. It will no doubt be big on Netflix and be nominated for a bunch of shit like all his stuff which gives Netflix the prestige they crave. Win-Win for both parties
