What hidden business skills? He was basically useless the entire series until he was able to copy Walt's cook, and then he was passed around as a meth slave. He wasn't able to move the meth Walt cooked, which is why they sought out Tuco, then Gus. When he tried being the distributor he got combo killed. He didn't have a heart of gold, either. He had a soft spot for kids, but he willing made and sold meth knowing it destroyed lives. He talked an innocent chick into taking meth when he had no petrol money. Like all the characters in the show, he was a shitty human once you scratch the surface.

Sure he's good with kids and whatnot but he's also directly responsible for basically putting Walt's family at risk of dying to Gus. There are no innocent criminals in BB, that's the point which Ledditurds don't get, Mike is a hypocrite and a faggot. Only their families and the honest people like Hank or Chuck, even if flawed, are ACTUALLY good people.

Plus Saul Gone shows Chuck was perfectly fine with Jimmy changing paths, he just didn't want him at his firm which is fair, and this is what Jimmy secretly regrets more than anything else alongside Howard's death. So yeah Chuck ultimately was a good guy even if he definitely had his issues
