Good mothers are somewhat aware that their feedback is one of the primary factors that will shape the character of their children.

If your mom reinforced the idea of you being handsome, you are very likely to feel handsome. If you receive no such compliments, you will be shaped by other factors. If your mother regularly calls you ugly, i wish you all the luck in the world, you are going to need it.

>>214966649
what about if your mother treats you like a young child all your life while also swearing at you and invading your privacy and throwing/giving away your stuff while you're at school? haha
>>
>>214966232
>>214966419
Look up your mom's phone and ask to meet anyone with "handyman", "personal trainer", "accountant", "electrician " in their name.

>what about if your mother treats you like a young child all your life
Dependency issues and unhealthy attachments. Irresponsibility as well.
> swearing at you and invading your privacy and throwing/giving away your stuff while you're at school
Low self-esteem most likely.

You're bound to develop an unhealthy attachment to the first woman that shows you any attention. If she's a good woman, she will eventually break up with you when she realizes you're holding her down. If she's a bad woman, she's bound to treat you like shit and get away with it.

If you're on the lookout for these patterns and do your best to correct them, there is some hope however.

too late, it was number 2.
shortly after that 2-3 year insanity experience, health was destroyed and any relationships after that have been short lived and muted - I'm going to die alone and completely unrealised, unfulfilled and probably decades younger than I would have otherwise.
wish I'd been able to speak to someone who knew about this stuff when I was 14-16, so I could have had a chance of escaping it.

It was number 1 for me and 11 years.
>wish I'd been able to speak to someone who knew about this stuff when I was 14-16, so I could have had a chance of escaping it.
You probably wouldn't get it at the time. It's very hard to without hindsight.

some kind of input or advice or guidance at that age would have been extremely helpful.
for me.
i knew something was up even at 14 and wanted out, but didn't know how to proceed with life or fix any of it and just ended up retreating completely. managed to extract myself some years later, fell into it with that girl as i/you said, so more catastrophe
