>>214966997if TWBB is the only PTA movie you like, them you probably won't like this one either. other than the Johnny Greenwood score, it's more Tarantino-esque and similar to Boogie Nights or Inherent Vice than something like TWBB or The Master. that said, I thought it was a great thriller, really enjoyed it. if you are somebody who will get upset just because there are leftist characters in the movie who are kind of sympathetic, then don't bother. but despite the leftist overtones, I really wasn't thinking about politics during it, I just got sucked into the world and the tension. but I know some people can't look past that kind of thing, and if you're asking this question I have to imagine that's you, so it will probably just make you angry.

It's without hyperbole the worst movie I've seen this year. Sean Penn's character is a completely joke and walks and acts like a army toy with 3 points of articulation, the mother is completely reprihensible and she still get a dramatic inspiring moment at the endLeo gets caught, runs away, gets caught, runs awayand didn't do anything in the end because his 16 year old daughter solved the problem before he got there, it's narly 3 hours for no reason at all, the soundtrack is a guy with downs playing his 10 key toy keyboard for 15 minutes during a tense scene, characters are all over the place, and it doesn't look that good visually.
