the context of why i was thinking of it was how the best movies i ever seen in my life were all ones I never heard of before, or have heard very little and someone tells me to go see it.
usually the more marketing I see of a movie the less I end up liking it.
it happens with games too. I cannot trust 'the industry' critics to tell me if anything is good or not. I trust people to tell me.
another indicator, I have found, is that if there are enough memes of a movie being posted, it usually means it is good and I would like it,, but it takes paying attention to what is marketing and what is real.
