What makes this image so appealing, interesting and fascinating? Is it the snowman? Is it the hand writing, both? It randomly pops into my head from time to time

It is directly translated from Norwegian, and that makes it have a weird rhythm to it that's kinda interesting. The snowman is also cute.

is the movie any good

The cast is strangely stacked but no it's horrendous
>>
does anyone remember the comedy sketch (British i think) where the detective finally captures a serial killer in a car? they're both disappointed since it ends the cat-and-mouse game, following Bible verse clues, etc.

I brought my mom to the theater to watch it since she's a big fan of the books. She was pissed at me afterwards for wasting her time with that shit.

its not appealing or interesting or fascinating

It is one of the strangest things I've ever seen. It's someone with resources imitating Hollywood, but something about it is really strangely "off". Like you cant put your finger on it, but it feels like the framerate camera motion must be wrong, SOMETHING. I still dont know what gave it such an uncanny valley feel.

the crudely drawn disappointed snowman is the centerpiece. if it was better drawn or missing entirely it would present more menace or mockery, but this just feels like a downie who's genuinely sad mister police didn't save her despite having all of the clues.

probably one of those cases where the poster is better than the film
I haven't seen the film but the poster does have a certain mystique to it
>>
it looks like a child made it, or a very retarded serial killer, rather than an actual smart serial killer who'd write like this to throw off the cops, so it makes me think the murder mystery itself must be very amateurish, which is interesting because amateurish is how everyone describes the movie itself, the whole production has this "what went wrong" aura that is very bizarre

nah, but i remember the bit you mean, with the police conference. good series.

wasn't the Identity Killer sketch in Mitchell & Webb either. definitely live-action. think it was a random 90s series, Big Train or one of them.

terrible pacing
>>
>>214973959
how do you fuck up the pacing of a bestselling crime novel
aren't they engineered specifically to keep the reader hooked?
>>

so what was the deal with Alfredson not having filmed all the scenes they needed?
