You have to spend 10 years locked in a bunker without access to the outside world. No internet

You can bring 3 tv shows with you to watch. Which three do you choose?

That's what I was going to post lol. I guess after that One Piece and then Star Trek TNG. It's not as long but I need something I know I love in case I can't bruteforce myself into enjoying that other crap

Play for Today
Elvira's Movie Macabre
Mystery Science Theatre 3000

sesame street, fraiser, sheep in the big city
>>
You get the complete series?

X-files
Family Guy
Twilight Zone
>>
>>214973226
I wouldn’t. I’d bring three video games. It’s what anyone sensible would do
>>
>>214973262
My first thought was Coronation Street, Eastenders, and Emmerdale but I think I'd rather just kill myself then
>>
>>214973315
Wasn’t an option. Now you have no tv shows and no games either.
>>
>>214973317
Make it a set of compilation vids of Shadrach, Sam Dingle and Viv Hope (milf) scenes
>>
>>214973226
The Simpsons, Peep Show and South Park
>>
If I can also stock art supplies I would watch The Joy of Painting with Bob Ross. In ten years I would be pretty good at generating spontaneous landscapes. Maybe even put castles and shit in them
>>
>>214973226
Honestly?

The Simpsons
Family Guy
Saturday Night Live

Not necessarily the best comedy in existence, but such large amounts of content will help keep me going for ten years.
>>
>>214973374
not a bad idea. i was trying to think of a documentary series that would be useful in a bunker, then two pure entertainment/luxury series.

if everything is provided for you, the real risk is going insane. i'd either want The Joy of Painting or suicide instructions.
>>
>>214973372
you would get bored super fast, some retardedly long soap opera you aren't really invested in would propably be the best option
>>
>>214973341
I locked the door behind me. Fuck off we’re full
>>
>>214973374
That's a pretty great idea, if you can't brig stuff with you maybe some very detailed exercise tapes and meditation courses so you can get buff and reach spiritual enlightenment
>>
>>214973513
get some of those slutty '80s exercise dance tapes like in the Substance, so you can dance yourself into shape and have a good fap.
>>
MST3K (even if i've seen every episode 999 times)
Explorer or NOVA (for some documentary stuff)
Days of our Lives or some other shit to keep me company.
>>
>>214973372
X-files
MST3k (only the classics not the new shit)
American Dad
>>
>>214973226
Do all videos/streams of my favourite streamers/youtubers count too? :D
>>
Would the local news qualify as a "TV show"? I'd love just watch the daily evening news every day and pretend it's happening outside right now instead of in the past. I think it would help me keep sane in some way. Then again I might come out of there thinking 9/11 happened yesterday or some shit like that, depending on which time period of news I was watching in the bunker.
>>
>>214973226
Probably this one. My grandma was watching it my entire childhood and still complained about local tv station ceasing stopping the broadcast.

my mom used to watch it every day while I was playing with action figures
>>
>No. of episodes
>1,225 (list of episodes)
>>
>>214973226
American Dad because there are a shit load of episodes and it's just brainless stoner slop I can feel the hours with
Mad Men because it's the greatest TV show I have watched but I can barely remember most of it so it would be great to rewatch. Also a long series.
I'm not sure about n3 to be honest. Maybe the Wire or the Sopranos because I've never seen them and everyone says they are good.
Challenges like this are fun because it's not 'the best 3 tv series' it's about not going insane over the course of a decade which is why the simpsons, family guy etc are good choices.
>>
>>214973262
I'd rather shoot myself in the head. The Bill was pretty comfy though, used to watch it with my granny and she taught me what the words 'prostitute' and 'junkie' meant
>>

Star Trek Deep Space Nine
Trailer Park Boyz
The Sopranos because ive never seen it...I inironically hate wops

1.) Whatever Euro TV series has the most uncensored nudity and sex in it. I'm not setting for softcore to game of thrones 'merican level TV porn for ten years.
2.) Survivorman. It's the comfiest kino and would help to imagine the outside world.
3.) Trailer Park Boys. Would remind me of friends and help keep me sane.
>>
THESE are all of the longest running shows from the US and UK, so take your pick.

it's 3,650 days so you need to pick stuff that has thousands of episodes.

Doctor Who (longest runnig Scifi many different and varied episodes and stories so you're bound to find plenty to enjoy over the 60+ years, even if you're some sort of flag-nonce that thinks the new stuff is "woke")

Crime Traveller (only 12 episodes but all good plots and you get Chloe Anette, picrel, to fap over)

Death in Paradise (lots of kino whodunits in a very comfy setting, you might be stuck in a bunker for 10 years watching Doctor Who and energetically fapping over Chloe Anette with gusto morning, noon and night, but you can take a trip somewhere nice and sunny via the magic of tv)

I've never watched it but there's a billion episodes. I cannot watch the same show over and over for 10 years without losing my mind, at least there would be a guaranteed new episode each day to watch in between "Sopranos" re-watchings.
I would have chosen "General Hospital" but my mom watches that and I know it's dogshit. It is also poisoning her brain, geezers shouldn't be sedentary and watching television, all soap operas are dementia-enablers.

it would have to be some news broadcast cuz you at least get to learn some shit AND it has actually enough hours to fill this time

I love rewatching House and Monk but I know I can bang through both of them inside of 1 month each and thats while having a job, that would still leave 118 months, you cant just keep rewatching them in a loop or you'd hate them

I don't see how watching some utter dreck made for housewives for 10 years would not drive you insane.
>>
>>214973226
I would choose Dark Shadows because you have to have a 1000 episode soap opera show to stay sane, and this seems like the least grating one.
The other two? IDK. Perhaps Frasier and Deep Space Nine. There are other shows I may like more, but they are lower quantity in content, which is necessary for this.
>>
>>214983673
>you have to have a 1000 episode soap opera show to stay sane
I don't get this, I feel like you would watch one episode and say "good lord, what have I done?"
Maybe this is because I just tried checking out some clips from some soap operas recently because I was interested in long running shows and they all looked horrible. You anons either have to remind yourselves what these shows are actually like or I'm just built different.

I can’t be the only one who would think that Pawn Stars is legit the number one best answer for this right? It’s educational plus a comfy friend simulator (if you’re desperate enough). I don’t even care about a number two or number three pick, I’m just gonna say Pawn Stars.

And the soap opera will become grating after 10 episodes.
You sacrificed quality for quantity.

A good show I can rewatch many times is worth more than a bad one with a billion episodes.

The British ones are just melodramas made to appeal to jobless mindless women where the same ugly terrible actors shout at each other for their entire careers. There is always a pub as a location and the shows will cover the entire lives of the most basic bitch families with all plots revolving around who is dating, sleeping with or cheating on whoever else. They are terrible, terrible shows. I imagine the American ones are the same except with less shouting by attractive but equally bad actors. I guarantee if you picked one for this, you'd regret it ever single day.

Also I don't see Silent Witness on that list or All Creatures Great and Small so f that.

Great idea, apparently Top of the Pops is the longest running music chart TV show. Weekly charts from 1969 to 2009 and Christmas specials since then to the present. The Australian show "rage" would be good too, more recent, it's from 1987, but it has longer blocks.
To that I would add Elvira's Movie Macabre because it contains hundreds of shitty movies. I picked it instead of MST3K because of Cassandra Peterson and the hope that I get the DVD specials that have titties.

Using Coronation Street as an example. They film the episodes 3-4 months in advance of when it's aired. There are 30 staff writers but around 20-30 consultant writers. Each character on the show has a dedicated writer, sometimes a writer will be responsible for a 'family' to maintain consistency, they're supposed to keep everything in some big lore type book if you will an archive so when they leave the job the next writer can take over and look through all the material and try to keep the characters consistent. It doesn't really work but the people watching are retarded and mostly pensioners so they don't care.
Storylines are basically the same year in year out. Will they won't they relationships, and once they're in a relationship one of them cheats or both cheat and for a time they are trying to hide the affair until it all comes out and either someone is divorced, killed or some bastard child is made and then you have the next storyline of who is the father, or who is the killer.
Then they cycle back round to step one of new couple on the Street, or new characters and will then won't they again.
