His mother pushes him off a waterfall. It was a pro-choice allegory.

Fuck you hook noses.
Tobacco is nothing compared to the vices of the foreign invasion and sex edu-grooming.
Tobacco was one of the few industries controlled by Caucasians
>>
>>214980144
Strong first and second act with an okay third act and a bit of a weak cop-out ending. The coastal setting is comfy.
>>
High order kino
>>

Smoking is based.
What are you? Some kind of weak ass hook nose?

Culkin's dad was a schizo on the set for this and every movie I guess. He threatened to pull Mac out of Home Alone 2 if he wasn't allowed to do this movie so they replaced the original kid with him.

it actually made good money though and was Culkin's last hit
>>
>>214980144
The ending was dumb. It should have ended with the mom saving them both, and sending her son to a mental institution, or something.

I remember seeing this movie when I was a kid and it fucked me up.

>>214980144
Joker in child form. Too bad the Dicap hype buried all kid actors' transition to adult roles
>>
>>214981975
yeah i was always fucked up when i saw kids die when i was around their age. Lord of the Flies, Maximum Overdrive, IT, etc.

So was he just born evil? He had great parents, a nice home, and normal siblings. What the fuck happened?

You know psychopaths exist in real life too, right anon?
>>
>>214982126
yeah but normally when it's a child it's because of extreme abuse

In typical /tv/ fashion you've recited the most edgy thing you could think of when it's the least memorable thing about the movie.
>>
>>214981631
smoking fags is chinamen that need clean air in beijing and retards
lung cancer is ass

I wanted that bolt gun so much as a kid.

>Smoking is based.
It was until a certain government decided to irradiate the earth and turn tobacco along with several other plants that uptake a lot of minerals from the soil into cancer factories.
>>
>>214984149
how is that edgy? john c reilly is one of my favorite actors and that part fucked me up. also was a huge moment in the movie because it was the realization of what he was going to do next
>>
is it sh0ta kino
>>
>>214981554
yup, jews not being in control of big tobacco is the reason why its so regulated in the west. nicotine improves focus and critical thinking
>>
this is the movie that convinced the culkin sister that she hated acting. she was pretty bad in the movie and never acted again
>>
>>214984609
nah, it made money. people turned on culkin when he wasn't the funny cute kid anymore and grew up for richie rich and getting even with dad.
>>
>>214980144
>movie named good son
>not good son at all
bravo
>>
>>214980144
>"The Good Son"
>he's actually a pretty terrible son in most objective senses of the word

False advertising.
>>
>>214980144
We must be gooder sons.
>>
>>214980144
Macaulay Culkin and Elijah Wood are so good they carry the movie. Most of the movie is just the two kids hanging out and not much happens, but the acting is so good that there is constant tension and it keeps being interesting.
If they didn't get two great child actors this would just be boring slop.
You can't make kinos like this anymore because good child actors don't exist.

It's crazy how in the 80s and 90s you had these legendary child actors who have 100 great movies under their belt. But now a child actor will do one movie and before you even know it they are already an adult and too old to play these roles.
How the fuck did child actors do this much work in the past?
>>
>>214986105
the two boys are fighting each other and roll off the cliff with the mom grabbing them both. she has to make a choice because she can't physically bring them both up. her son tried killing her minutes before after she found out he killed her other son. still a hard decision but that's the point

>>
>>214986194
How the fuck did child actors do this much work in the past?
I would guess it'd have something to do with not being buried in their phones all day and living more in the moment
>>
>>214980144
The ending predicts the career trajectory for both Elijah Wood and MCall.
>>
>>214987648
So I take it you have never heard of books and your own affluenza prevents you from considering any time wasting pastime other than your phone?

I remember seeing this and North around the same time. Pretty interesting movies

Both Wood and Culkin were great actors. Culkin's character makes your skin crawl at times
