Dexter came out like 20 years ago and this guy was just in a season or two, why is he blowing up with zoomers now? I literally see him memed under random posts and topics everywhere.
>>214995979Zoomers want to be millenials so bad, they are obsessed with us millenials
>>214995979youtube/tiktok algorithm spamming everyone with dexter shorts
A combo of Dexter Resurrection where he makes a cameo in a flashback AND the Pedro Pascal noticer memes, thus forcing zoomers to go and watch yt clips and making more memes
>>214995979Part of it is because he was a good character who produced a timeless meme but mostly it's marketing for the new Dexter show.
>>214995979I dunno. But from now on I'm going to act like Doakes
>>214995979Doakes is an example of a good black character, and the actor's portrayal is somewhat iconic
new Dexter show just came out + Tiktok memes
>>214995979Zesty riggers are hot rn
>>214996177Man I wish majorities would stop misusing black slang.
>>214995979Totally organic human-posting to get people excited for a Doakes prequel series.
>>214995979It's some kind of marketing push, but I just can't prove it...
>>214996275will we get to see doakes in rwanda and how he perfected the mozambique technique
>>214996275sounds better than a Trinity prequel which they almost made happen
Theory 1 is that its a marketing related to the release of Dexter revival (Resurrection, Original Sin)Theory 2 is that its a random meme that went viralTheory 3 is that the 2000s nostalgia era is finally hitting hard, especially considering that post-Trump television became dogshit and woke and failed to produce any enduring cultural impact, so shows like Dexter which were considered low quality back in the day are standing out compared to current crop of pozzed Netflix garbagehow long until zooms discover LOST?
>>214995979The zooms long for a big brother figure that doesn't have mental illness, proteks + guards.
>>214996108>Doakes is an example of a good black character,LOL no such thing>and the actor's portrayal is somewhat iconicWrong again. He does exemplify the zesty faggotry of black bois. His stalking Dexter is pure gayness.
its funny and versatile
>>214995979Doakes was streets ahead.
What are the best doakes moments?
>>214997245stop standing around smiling like a fuckin' creep and do some work
>>214997245surprise motherfucker
>>214997245>dexter thinks something creepy to himself when in a group>doakes sharply looks at him and goes WHAT WAS THAT MORGAN?>dexter says "n-nothing" and starts panicking that doakes can read his mind
>>214997245When he reads Dexter's mind
>>214995979when stephen king said the epstein list was a hoax the doakes meme clicked for me
>>214995979doakes drives a truck for Caldwell now
>>214995979It's funny that people meeting him in the streets just ask him to look in the camera with sus eyes thats him now
are the new dexter episodes even good i stopped watching when his son shoots him or some stupid ass shit
>>214998117lol so relatable XD
Son, Duke. Y'all knew
Zoomers are rediscovering old shows. They did the same with Sopranos a year ago. Also it's marketing. New Dexter show literally just came out.
>>214995979proto woke DEI character
35 year old /tv/ millenioomers need to come to terms with the fact that modern television is so bad that what was considered mid during the golden age of television now seems like a huge breath of fresh air to the new gen.
>>214998922>wokeDoakes is a remix of the magic black man stock character that was around decades before him.
>>214996759Get a job
>>214998931Its trueI'm watching Dexter rn and even the later seasons that were considered putrid shit back in the day are heads and shoulders above most shows today
>>214995979>claps the cheeks of shills' forced and trite "jon bernthal is a real bad ass guize wow" memes EFFORTLESSLY without leaving his stakeout vehicle in your path
>>214995979He kinda reminds me of Bluster Kong with his gay little moustache
>>214998643New season is much better than first son season
>>214999327Not true at all. As a OG fan, those last seasons are only good ironically. Laughing at them and enjoying them as shlock is the only viable interpretation.
>>214996702>how long until zooms discover LOST?LOST won't enjoy a second wave with zoomers because a Mystery Box show doesn't work when the mystery has been solved for over a decade. X-Files and Star Trek TNG got it right by having mini mysteries that were all solved by the end of the episode. The real strength was in the storytelling and character work.
>>214996018its literally the contrary, faggot. Ive seen countless threads shitting on zomers. Never seen someone saying shit about milenialsAlso, obssessed faggot
>>215001163Go back to r*ddit faillennial
>>214996228>black slang.i thought it was gay slang
>>215000732>>214999327Ngl, I liked season 7 for Titus Pullo and for Hannah/Yvonne Strahovski who I think had the best romantic and sexual chemistry with Dexter.
>>214995979>>214996018>>214996054>>214996702>>214996739>>214998741why are niggers acting like zoomers are doing this shit. we're in the age of gen alpha now, they are the ones making the edits and flooding the tiktok algorithm with dexter. also, have we figured out yet what to call gen alpha people
>>214995979You better start believing in astroturfed market shilling posts, you're in one.
>>215001806>Yvonne Strahovskiya she was pretty great at the time
>>215001934alphies seems like the most natural namemaybe alphoids
>>215001934Makes sense since Gen Alpha are 15 at the oldest. And Dexter appeals solely to 15 year old edgelords who love Deus Ex Machina writing.
Doaks was the only good antagonist of the show since his blunt honesty acts as a perfect foil to dexters polite deceptiveness. Every villain after him was just "le serial killer who is even smarter than dexter" but doaks made an interesting contrast and plot dilemma
>>215001806I liked Hannah, it's a bummer they killed her off offscreen
>>215003395i was baffled that they killed him off so early. it's like killing Hank in S2 of breaking bad
>>214997435These are great.Same for when dex’s inner monologue goes on and on and Doakes just stares at him.
