As an oldfag, for me the two biggest sequel let-downs were Highlander II and Aliens 3, followed by Son of the Mask, tho I had ample warning that SotM was going to be garbage.Highlander 2 snuck up on my completely, it's like the people who made it never watched more than the trailer of the original.Alien 3 is just an unpleasant movie to sit though. It's not particularly scary, or exciting, or fun or meaningful, it's just a deplorable grind of a movie.
