You're a grown man who lives with his mom. This is what you do with their life.

That's stupid.
Just stream the videos to your TV from your PC

I just cut out the middleman and run HDMI straight from the back of my desktop to my 51 inch 4K television, and sound from the desktop to external speakers if I want sound for all to hear. It's just a click to swap between headphones to external speakers. It's permanent. I don't use small monitors.
TV is a dumb tv, not a smart tv that needs to connect to the internet to boot up and update.
I never got the laptop and HDMI cable joke. Most televisons made in the last fifteen years have USB plugs on the back anyway, so external hard drive and tv remote to flip through your movies. If using the internet for free streaming sites, well, you have all of the benefits of adblockers.
Why would you be using your laptop and all of this fuckery anyway?

low iq behaviour honestly

I have a mini PC hooked up to my TV. I recommend this setup for piracy.
>>
>>215017169
This is how I do it, my screen is broken, though, so it's not nearly that annoying.
>>

Refill the HDD?
How tiny is your external HDD?
My smallest movie external HDD has over 1500 movies, all over 1GB in size.
I've got six externals, from 2-6 TB in size, mostly full.
I'm looking at buying two 8TB drives to just dump all of the media in in case I lose one of my HDDs to damage.
I have a 3TB external that I bought in 2009. It's still kicking, so I keep it.
Maybe I just take care of my stuff, because it shocks the shit out of people to own an external that old.
I use a PS3 controller cable to run it to a television. It's that old.

Past a certain age a man that doesn't have 2-3 streaming service subscriptions can be a bad thing.
>>

Yeah spare PC as a media player of downloaded content is easy mode for pirate everything.
>>
>>215019455
I had all of this once and lost it all but guess what, it didn't even matter because you can download anything in 2 minutes. Don't be a hoarder, you're never going to watch it again

Retarded cuck behavior

nta but i have some films than you can't find anymore.
Not everybody is just into mainstream blockbuster goyslop that you can find in 2mn in 4K.
>>
>>215017169
Fun fact a hot girl I dated in college taught me how to do this and pirate movies and shows and said watching movies in theaters was a waste of money

I have had Roku boxes and Raspberry Pis and fire sticks and nothing beats a PC UI. All those devices are clunky and slow.
>>
>>215019517
I'm just going to point out that the internet is not always available.
You expose yourself as someone who grew up nonstop connected to the internet and think that it will always exist wherever you are.
Gonna let you in on a secret.
Digital copies, whether on a hard drive or disc, will last longer than the internet version.
Save your media. Because it will be altered or unavailable if you depend on the internet in the future to give it to you.
>>
>>215017169
>many better ways of doing it
It's called a dedicated mini PC with a wireless keyboard+mouse combo. Imagine subscribing to streaming shit and NOT having to update apps every fucking week and having them break/unsupported because it all runs in the browser. Imagine NOT having AdBlock for all your streaming subscriptions with ads.
>>
>>215017169
the tv is just a 2nd monitor
>>
>>215019307
B-but you wear down the components faster by turning it on and off!!! (If it was still the fucking 1980s. I seriously can't understand dipshits that keep their PC on 24/7 unless they're running a server for multiple people)
>>
>>215019687
Hey, uBlock for youtube and many pirate streaming sites.
AdBlock was great, and still is, but youtube and many sites can detect it now, causing you to be unable to see the stuff. I leave both on, but it's always adblock that gets caught, so I disable it on the site and uBlock isn't seen, so catches the slack.
>>
Every girl I have fucked has seen me as a genius for connecting my PC to a TV. I don't know where this incel meme came from where they look down at that.
>>
i really dont care how people choose to watch media
>>
>>215019806
Still waiting for an update. Switching to Firefox or Edge blocks about 99% of YouTube ads.
>>
>>215019728

Turning it on and off requires energy. My energy! What kind of pathetic excuse for a man are you that a PC's energy is more important than your own?! No man at all.

Edge makes my skin itch and crawl to use.
I can't stand it. It's always thinking, running processes. Response time is shit. Every time you click on something, it takes so long to actually go there. Like it's communicating back with microsoft to ask permission. That is what it feels like to me.

I had an enjoyable rate of 4-6 women a year going on until I got into a shitty relationship two years ago that ruined my life

Hoarders do disgust and confuse me. Gives me the ick seeing a guy that doesn't clean up after himself and keep things stable in his life. Yes, I am a girl BTW
