I think this movie deserves another look. If we accept:1. Temple of Doom2. Raiders3. Last Crusade4. Dial of Destinyas the core Indy films, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull really works as an obscure middle-entry. I think people really just had a problem with it as an ending and as somehow to be taken in line with the originals. As a separate thing, it is actually really fun, and the comedy is commendable. As a note, Dial of Destiny is also great fun, in its own right, and worthy to be taken in line with the originals as a sort of wrap-up. Crystal Skull just works as the king of the secondary stories, all the novels, all that was ever in the Young show, made a movie that insists upon itself. If Star Wars prequels can have a renaissance, so can Indy. Can we make 2024+1 Crystal Skull Season? When did you last watch the movie? I want to hear from (You)!
>Mangold>X-menX marks the spot.
Where can I get a copy of The Hindu Bible
>>215017495>obscureLike the whole Crystal Skull thing nobody had heard of except boomers who watch Ancient Aliens
>2008: we get Indiana Jones 4>2023: we get Indiana Jones 5Any other series and it wouldn't work.
>>215017573>people get 1 star wars: it good>people get 2 star wars: it good>people get 3 star wars: it good>people get 4 star wars: nononononononononoono
>>215017495Crystal skull was almost good but Spielbergo just didn’t care Like maybe another once over on the script would have helped
>>215017982To many Indy was a Bible epic and with 4 not having a real artifact it wasn't made to be like that

>>215017617Is that any good? I have been wanting to approach Hindu philosophy for a long while. The Vedas just seem like a bunch of hymns and I don't want to read just a bunch of hymns. Are the Puranas more than just discourses?
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull definitely filtered a lot of people. Myself included for the most part at first. It took a lot to try to keep watching it to get at the details and try to like it. I even read the novelization and I have got to say that it helped. Now I can say I fully understand what it is they were going for, something at the edge. They really weren't trying to make something nobody would like, they just wanted to do something different, that still hasn't been surpassed in the world of movie ideas. I mean really. Think about it. It is quite something, isn't it?
>>215018046Is RLM considered acceptable again on /tv
>>215017495>4. Dial of Destiny>as the core Indy filmsThat's your mistake bro
>>215018078>>215018333What do people not like about it? I thought it was fun like the originals
the movie is playfully made and people just want blockbuster#xyz123
based
Crystal Skulls is better than Temple of Doom. It was released around the peak of Gen X manchildren complaining and the South Park episode probably swayed the opinion more than anything actually wrong with the film. People just don't like being reminded of their mortality, same thing happened with TLJ.
>>215017495I don't watch new moviesThey're always so gay and retarded regardless of what franchise or IP it's based onI only watch movies that take me back to better times and less annoying social interactions
