Obviously from a moral standpoint anything older is inherently superior as our present nation has killed God and replaced virtue with vice, but if you want something that's often wholesome while also being incredibly well made, check out Gunsmoke. It's the best show ever made, 20 excellent seasons. My only issue with it is it's an Indians can do no wrong type of western, but the political correctness of that era still feels like a breathe of fresh air compared to the putrid nigger shit of today

I was born 2 years after the original MacGyver ended in 1992 but I saw reruns on Spike TV way back in mid-2000's. What impresses me is that he was the thinking man's hero; who used his wits and tech skills to outwit foes. The A-Team sorta did this too, but MacGyver actually made me research books.
