>>215034719I know it is classified as folk horror, but part of me thinks horror is maybe misleading, at last how people generally think of it. It is more of a mystery that is trying to create this unnerving atmosphere, with even certain undertone of comedy.
To me it's more of a mystery movie with a scary ending which makes the whole movie scarier in retrospect. Since everyone is used to atheist non-white societies now the movie doesn't seem strange or otherworldly anymore kek.
