It's not actually political even if its Director insists otherwise.
It was surprisingly well made. I expected cheap, badly acted gore porn, but got a well acted dark drama with good cinematography that takes very gory turn and turns into something like Martyrs but less bleak and more action oriented. Sure it's not even close of master piece such as Martyrs, but good horror movie.

It tries to be the most shocking movie ever made but comes off as way too tryhardy. The acting is great though, the ending twist really disturbed me in ways that a movie hasn't in ages.
