>>215039247He's not really a villain, as much as the new measuring stick that would be used to give Goku something to strive for and hopefully would've covered a couple years of power scaling. What's weird though, is that Beerus kind of becomes irrelevant. I thought it was the plan that Goku would be weaker, but then over a few years of movies/anime/manga, Goku would be strong enough to take on Beerus, but it never really happened. It's debatable Goku's strength compared to Beerus, sure, but they never had that fight to sort of cap off the Beerus' purpose in the story. Character's in a weird place right now.
I hope Goku-san gets stronger and/or faster in this episode.
