Fun fact for those who aren't into anime, the show goes completely off the rails a few episodes after this scene! Yeah it becomes a predictablem preachy, hamfisted, moralfagging ragebaiting plothole-filled mess. The most unique aspects of the show are reduced to boring plot devices, the protagonist gets character-assassinated, the art style gets downgraded and every major fight scene is now 79% jarring half-baked CGI. Yeah, the show that was known for flashy animated violence finished up the final season with 3D models in 2D scenes.
