Luck and cunning were their tools so it had some plausibility. In T2 she had already trained on all kind of military tactics and worked out so in her case her being as tough as Reese was also plausible. In Aliens we also got a more experienced Ripley. Vasquez was also plausible because of her fit look. I can buy her as a badass space marine that can lift a mini gun. But these... these just don´t work.

Even Hercules, Conan the Barbarian, Robin Hood and the like start off in an ordinary world on which they are farmers or slightly above average hunters or fighters.While i understand the male fantasy and the female fantasy may be different i believe there is no valid reason to consider there is a relationship between sex and the hero´s journey.
