It's at the same time a terribly written mystery as well as terribly written 90s semi erotic thiriller. It's a kind of an episode that would have been more at home in a show like Silk Stalkings. Also, it's very mean spirited epsode.

>>215043175I think the reason I didn't dislike it as much as you (I suppose rightly) point out is maybe because it was just Muldur, with no Sculy, Skinner, Lone Gunman etc just doing his thing and only interacting with episode characters like local PD.The change of dynamic as a change of pace briefly. Now I think about it though the whole episode is a bit reminscent of Buffy so it could just be that.
