Why did they decide that Robocop the Series needed to have its own bizarre canon? They have several characters from the first movie, but they went out of their way to give them new names, but them pretend like these were always their names. Anne Lewis for example is in the show, BUT she's now called Lisa Madigan. Sgt. Reed is also in the show, but he's now Sgt. Stanley Parks. Emil also some how survived and is referred to as William Ray 'Pudface' Morgan and is a recurring villain who was deformed by the toxic waste from the first movie. It's so unnecessarily bizarre to rename everyone and retcon the movies, when there's ample room after Robocop 3 to replace many of the characters with new ones in similar roles. That being said, the show is a very comfy 90s show.

Clarence Boddicker is alive in the show and in the last episode it sets him up as a reoccurring antagonist.The other cartoon is also fun, but the tie-in toy line didn't really have any villains. The live-action series is good, and has a very comfy atmosphere. Prime Directives is a miniseries and it's pure slop.
