To me it's an unfair comparison since they are so different, however, for the sake of fun, the answer is clearly Trek. Star Trek actually has mature storylines and tackles complex subjects. Also Trek was good up to Enterprise, meanwhile Star Wars was already getting worse by Return of The Jedi.

>>215043526The Prequels dealt with the MIC, the fall of democracy in the name of security after a made up war, and a conspiracy of a hidden cabal playing both sides for their end goal.Star Trek had an episode on black-white good, white-black bad.

>>215043526I kinda prefer NuWars over NuTrek as weird as it is to say because its slop vs slop. For me, NuWars actually does appeal to young people better, its not some decent cartoons such as Visions (the good parts) and Bad Batch. Also Skeleton Crew was okay, I am sure Disney was disappointed in its performance though. As far as appealing to adults, hmm, perhaps Picard Season 3 is better than S3 Mando but I am not convinced. If ALL of Strange New Worlds was like S1 then it would win the debate alone but it really tanked hard. I am tempted to give it to Wars just because Mando is all right man. Appealing to adults is where they both are struggling most imhoTrek should consider doing an Alien: Earth type of thing where its a new adventure in the Kirk crew but it uses sets that look exactly the same but also includes all of Federation space, could be interesting.
>>215043584Star Trek had an episode about holocaust denial, an episode about telling refugees being rightly told to fuck off the planet's full, an episode about how people defying the sexual mores of their society are mentally ill, an episode about a planet full of kangz lusting after a blonde woman, an episode about turning into a salamander and raping your captain and on and on.
