has anybody figured out which scenes where shot on 35mm?
>>215043765scene 15, scene 9, scene 70, scene 12
>>215043765The director still hasn't figured it out either.
>>215043765>He decided though, to shoot on 35mm some scenes, the more intimates ones, like the conversation between the two main actors on the boat. To minimize the change from one format to the other, Malaimare used Zeiss Jena lenses which smoothed a lot the transition although a difference in grain structure can be noticed.
Think I found a 35mm one
>>215044852>MalaimareI don't think this guy did anything on The Master, it has been confirmed by the camera operator that they were not on speaking terms and PTA basically did it all himself. Which definitely checks out given the body of work by Malaimare since that movie.
>>215044852> The Master is a film that remains too distant and cold, actors do a good job but they really never connect with the audience; it looks like Anderson didn't have anything to say and the story never hooks. Unfortunately the cinematography reflects these lacks: The Master is wonderfully lit but the light rarely transmits something.what fucking pleb is this

>>215045137>and PTA basically did it all himselfMaybe I would have believe that a decade ago, but not after seeing Licorice Pizza and OBAA.
>>215043765yeah low light and cramped spaces, the lettuce field, the wedding reception on the boat and probably the first processing scene
>>215045137this has been a long time rumor and i low key believe it
>>215046207Phantom Thread looked really great though.
>>215046292i thought LP and OBAA looked good too, the former looked better than the later

>>215046292You're replying to a retard that watches movies on his computer.
>>215046415thanks man nice to be confirmed
>>215043793you forgot scene 43
>>215046448Cope. I watched OBAA in IMAX. You think it looks better than The Master?
Man everything about this film is amazing. Even the lore behind it.
