Why isn't there a 3-4 hour movie about Berserk? If done right, it could be the best movie ever made.
>>215043914Berserk is trash.
It's nothing special after golden age and they can't even make a decent anime remake of it much less a live action movie. Dark fantasy really isn't a genre anymore after game of thrones. Not having gotten it when got was at its fever pitch means it's unlikely we ever get it which is fine by me.
>>215043946Berserk is water of sodas.
>>215043914Why are you too retarded to stay contained on /a/?
>>215043914Relax dude, Berserk is fine, but its unfinished and as other anons state, it gets progressively worse once the golden arc is over. Just watch the trilogy or the 90s show
>>215045112This. There's even movies that scratch the itch, so no real need for an adaptation.
It loses it's edge once the Eclipse ends. I think they couldn't handle working on something so oppressively dark and full of despair over such a long period of time without any cracks of light shining through, but the overcorrected and ruined the tone. Modern Berserk reads more tonally inline with something like Bleach.
>>215043914it's bad and you are incorrect for liking it.
>>215043914Any actor that played Griffith would receive death threats for the rest of their life
>>215043946then I can't imagine what other anime is
>>215046591If there was 5 tiers of anime with the 1st being lowest and 5th highest, Berserk would end up in the 4th.
>>215043914It already had movies and 3-4 hours isn't even enough to cover GA. The 97 anime (which is just GA with cuts) is 9h+ long. Imagine a 4th Golden Age adaptation
stop asking people to adapt Berserk.
berserk is unadaptable in live action
>>215043914Berserk is a shitty comic
>>215043914Go back to /a/
>>215047573Wrong. You just lack the imagination. Garland's Elden Ring will prove without a doubt that it could be done.

>>215043914If done correctly, it probably wouldn't even be in the top 20 fantasy movies ever made, which is quite shocking, given how dogshit the genre generally is for film.
>>215048278The unfortunate truth is, for all of that, except Dune and Neuromancer, it's all dogshit writing, mostly. Mass Effect, the first one, is probably the best written one among those listed.
>>215048278>Pretty much all of these used to be recommended by 4chan 10 years agoWhat happened?
>>215047573It is literally GoT before the eclipse and some fantasy shit thrown in after.Other than the donovan stuff and some changes to the lost children part for legal reasons it is completely adaptable in live action.
>>215048329Dune is dog shit compared to Blood Meridian. That's fighting words.
>>215048403Literally the only things recommended on that list 10 years ago were Mass Effect, Berserk, Warhammer, and Jojo. And I wouldn't recommend any of them based on writing alone.
>>215043914>If done rightyou know this is impossible in modern pedowood, so why would you want it?
>>215048278Exactly. I don't know what they think happens when something is adapted. They expect it to magically become twice as good for some reason? By trimming almost everything good about it and making a shitty movie geared towards people who have never heard of it?
>>215048278>Neuroslopper and The Way of Slop, slop slops bizzare adventure on the same tier as Shadow of the Tortureyou did it, you got me
>>215048462>some faggot walking around the desert going "muh indians" and then he scalped himVery compelling. Dune has actual philosophy in it. Original too.
>>215048478I used to see countless Hyperion, Blood Meridian, and LOTGH posts on multiple boards. Only reason I read/watched them
>>215043914I unironically think AI is our only chance of getting a decent Berserk film or TV serirs.
>>215048278>DuneThe Dune recommendation meme always gets me.
>>215048545I can tell you've never actually read either.
I read Hyperion based on the hype. First story is good, but the detective lady story was so fucking bad I almost couldn't finish. Actual trope-slop. I assume most reviewers just read the first hundred pages and gave their scores
>>215048615And I care.
