absolute /tv/ tourist and late to the party; but i've gotta know-- what did (you) think of dune 2? was /tv/ as mixed as i was on it?
felt it was worse than part one and overall disappointing. outside of production/cinematography it was awful, even.
(that is-- poor: pacing, acting, storytelling/structure, whatever)

It's grown on me. First watch was tough, though. Part 2 struggles with downplaying a lot of its plot points to the point they all feel muddled and barely existent. If you pay enough attention, it is not that bad, and luckily the movie goes all out in its final 45 minutes.
