The first episode is a misdirect. The rest of the season revolves around how the entire abduction was a botched deep state psy op orchestrated to discredit the right wing. I'm not even spoiling much by telling you this, because it's revealed very early. Stick with it, it's good.

Last season is even worse honestly. Evil white men (and one white woman) good white women and women and men of color. Another fucking extreme right thing.
