The Smashing Machine was an unoriginal restaging of a 20 year old documentary, Benny doesn't have the juice. Marty Supreme is rumored to premiere tomorrow at NYFF so we'll find out if it's kino pretty soon.

Lmao, no. The Smashing Machine rips off shots and whole scenes from the doc it's based on. It doesn't have any of the frenetic energy their previous films were known for.

Apparently Josh was more into writing screenplays and introverted but Benny was more interested in acting and being famous. The interesting thing is Josh had their old crew working on Marty Supreme, where Benny didn't for Smashing Machine.
