Did these movies really do irreparable damage to millenials ability to form lasting relationships
>>215050774the only one i saw was eternal sunshine, because the premise actually sounded good, and i liked the way it was filmed. i dont see how it could possibly contribute to damaging social relationships.
>>215050774I love Nick & Norah.I don't see the damage. It's a story about getting over a breakup, spending quality time with friends, and finding someone new
>>215050774Yep, except maybe for eternal sunshine, even so still
>>215051386>>215051225I think these can be damaging because suceptible young minds with pursue the girl depicted in the screen and will begin to idealize the the of woman they will want, i think thats why, also there some toxic relationship elements to all of these, if you dont catch them it meants you arent problably mature enough for a relationship or they are thing you just accept as non toxic or bad traits and you see them as other things
>>215051386I like it a lot too. Captures that period in time really well.
>>215051225>>215050774I think the point is the movies glorify the abandonment of relationships that are not altogether "perfect" which normalizes seeing relationships less as a commitment and more as an emotional transaction with all the pitfalls associated
