What was the moral of the story?
he was a big guy
Bane in plane and cia
It's a big moral for you
>>215055519Put on a mask to get people to care about who you are.
>>215055519We're all wearing a metaphorical mask in life, pretending that we're big guys so we can feel in charge, but when the plane comes crashing down we'll be the ones left in the wreckage.
>>215055519Never simp for women. Bane was literally an incel white knight simp for Talia while fighting Batman, the guy who killed her father and the leader of your ninja clan, and Batman fucked and busted in all her holes while you didn't get a single crumb of pussy and got blown up by ANOTHER woman Batman was fucking and busting in.
>>215055611Oh wow. Seriously? This is what we're doing? Have sex and be better.
>>215055519bane funny
>>215055519You know, I genuinely can't tell, it also doesn't mesh in any way with what Batman Begins or Dark Knight built up. There are many things I don't like about what Dark Knight didn't pick up on, but I do think overall it has a pretty strong connection to Batman Begins. In Batman Begins Bruce is on a quest against crime and he finds people who share the same sentiment, but what they wanted was a completely clean slate, whereas Bruce does what he does to honor his parents, it's inherently incompatible with him so he can't agree with Ra's. In Dark Knight Bruce's belief that people can save themselves is affirmed by Joker's plan to blow up boats failing, yes it's cheesy, but it works, the people he's fighting for are worth fighting. So how does Bruce fucking off to Italy or Spain I don't remember with Catwoman fit into it? I have no fucking idea. I guess you could make an argument that the logical conclusion for Bruce would be accepting that people don't necessarily need Batman, but it's not what happens in the movie, people don't save themselves from Bane, they wouldn't have been able to. And he even leaves his shit to Joseph-Gordon Levitt because he knows they need Batman. He just fucks off and leaves.

>>215055519>storyDid this movie even have one?
>>215055519That a revolutionary may not want what best for the people and actually hates the people. The league of shadows hates criminals yet they let the prisoners out free to oppress Gotham. Bane uses class warfare but plans to kill everyone.
>>215055519True devotion to an ideal can inspire absolute loyalty, with Bane's friends sacrificing for his cause.Bane is calm in full control as chaos erupts and the plane is crashing. He has complete mastery over chaos and fear. Fear is one of Batman's strongest weapons.Trauma and suffering gave Bane his identity and power.
>>215055549this unironically.
>>215055870Are you saying Marxists are retarded?
>>215055935Bane's trauma turned him into a mommy's boy because his circle wasn't round.
>>215055519was Nolan embarrassed by Dark Knight Rises? I mean this is the dumbest movie ever made, or close to it.

>>215055519Inside all of us is a hothead Society will try to put it out (Get this hothead outta here!)Shadowy figures will try to use it as fuel for their own ambitions (The fire rises). During dark times your people will seek you out (We could use some hotter heads around here)Temper the hothead within because it is the warm harbor in a storm, the shining beacon in a dark night.
>>215059194You bring up an interesting point, but Dr. Pavel Heer calls bane an "Icehead", indicating that Hotheads are part of the Flight Plan and stand in opposition to Bane's Master plan, which is for meth addicts. This dichotomy is the basis of Western Civilisation
>>215055519I don’t think Nolan himself knows.I think the question>How do you top The Dark Knight?became the driving force of story development for TDKR. The Dark Knight did a good job of pacing, thrillingness, high stakes. I remember watching the Dark Knight in the theaters and feeling 2/3rd of the way through like the President would need to deploy battalions of special forces to Gotham to get the situation under control. The Dark Knight Rises therefore escalates to the hostile takeover of Gotham by Bane because Nolan didn’t have any other way of raising the stakes. It’s difficult to find the moral in the story of TDKR because it takes a back seat to this escalation of stakes and because we aren’t expecting the moral to be pretty much exactly the same as TDK. The moral of the TDK was that even an ordinary person, a criminal no less, in Gotham could rise above the Joker’s nihilistic schemes and do what’s right (Ferry scene). The revolution against Bane’s occupying force in the TDKR is just an Occupy Wallstreet inspired re-hash of the same moral.
>>215059389>feeling 2/3rd of the way through like the President would need to deploy battalions of special forces to Gotham to get the situation under control. We CANNOT lose Gotham
CIA represents archetypal man on the side of order. He goes out as a hero into foreign lands and returns with great wisdom (represented by dr. Pavel). His downfall is that he assumes that his own ordered world is all-encompassing, able to contain the whole world. In his hubris, he brings the masked man (IE. unidentifiable chaos) onto his place (the realm of manmade technological order), which ascends into heaven (the realm of divine law), but it is precisely under this ultimate law that CIA's judgement is revealed to be in error. He's not in charge here, but just a small guy in a large pond. The fire rises, burning his kingdom to the ground
