Movies from the 'Sigma years,' like American Psycho, Fight Club, Joker, and Ryan Gosling edits, were huge on YouTube and TikTok between 2021 and 2023, but now the hype is fading.Synthwave and Phonk were popular, too.People who were into those movie edits and characters started to lose interest around the end of 2023.The popularity of Joker 1 nearly died out after Joker 2 came out, with many feeling it ruined the character. Those 'Sigma years' were something else. If you were watching those edits in 2021-2023, you know exactly what I mean.It wasn’t about the author’s original message in American Psycho; people didn’t care about that. They just loved the character and the vibe it gave off, which helped those films explode in popularity years later because of the Sigma hype.If they try to reboot American Psycho now, it’d probably flop. They’d make it too woke. Look at Joker 2, it killed the hype around Joker.
Ok
These ones still have some hype, Donnie Darko and Fear (1996), though I haven’t watched Fear. Between 2021 and 2023, the hype for Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul was huge too, along with John Wick, Cyberpunk 2077, Blade Runner 2049, Drive, and Prisoners.
>>215056318Yeah, 2021-2022 were the golden years. By 2023 though I just stopped watching em, got too normie and brown-infested for me. Now these movies, especially American psycho, are associated with fucking Indians so.It truly was something else though.
