THIS IS NOT A DRILL

>Guy Fieri had 2 loads of his tequila, valued at $1 million, double-brokered and stolen by Armenians

The real story here is that people are finally just knocking over semi trucks on the freeway.
I've been waiting for this to start happening. California Highway Patrol is irresponsibly underfunded and understaffed and all those Amazon delivery trucks with inexperienced (read Jeet) drivers must make for tempting targets

How the fuck am I gonna wash down all this Old Route 57 Nashville Heat Roadkill Assault Vehicle Rape Del Scorcho Nachos
>>

You just imagine shit in your head based on headlines don't you
>>
>>215059712
This is literally a plotpoint in Fast and Furious. How long before Truckers start just blasting hijackers.
Also this type of crime does not seem profitable to steal commodity goods unless you have a large market to sell to and considering fences and black market logistics are still super obscure to this day how would you move this much stolen product without some degree of alarm bells going up. Its only worth it in large quantities not individual bottles.

Do Armenians do anything other than organized crime and seething at the Turks?
>>

Reality is a lot lamer than what I make up in my head.
Still I'd say Jeets were definately involved in this little scam.

They used to have a mercantile network from stretching from Germany to China.
Once people started favoring sea routes over land that was it for them.

>seething at the Turks?
The fucking Turks of all people. What random ass Indian news source told you we give a shit about the Turks? We don't even know who they are.
>>
>>215059764
>seething at the Turks?
I'm just confused by this one. What's a Turk? Like from Turkey? Why would I be mad at you, bro? You guys have the best birds ready for us on Thanksgiving.
>>

armenia desires war with flavor town? then war they shall have.
>>
>>215059858
>I'm just confused by this one. What's a Turk?
That's a hell of a question and I believe the official answer is "whoever the government days they are"
>>
>>215059712
No that isn't the real story. They're using fake delivery truck companies to deliver the goods and steal it when they receive it.
>>
>>215059655
This is just step one of the crime, step two is extorting people with threats of giving them a bottle of Guy Fieri brand alcohol
>>
>>215059817
Is that why you constantly seethe about muh genocide? Fake Armenian.

Did a single person even read the article? It was entirely done online. The drivers weren't in on it. It was a fake company hired by the trucking company that was in charge of shipping.
It's a really clever hacking/online crime actually. Please read the article guys its actually interesting

in CA? that's the only way you can get and stay arrested for assault and homicide there.
>>

To this day I still do not understand how the fuck fences work. How do you set up a market for stolen goods, laundering money is easy, laundering physical goods printed with production codes and labels seems much harder. Like in the case of this cargo the only way I could guess you could launder it is mass batch all the tequila together and sell it out of new bottles through some dummy company.

OP has a responsibility for the quality of the thread. This sounded like it would be a fantastic subject, but you fail at this so get nothing but disregard.
>>

fences are just middle men for stolen goods. like middle men in legitimate business, their skill is in connecting suppliers to buyers. unlike legitimate ones, they have to be exceptionally careful with the thieves they buy from and the people they sell to because, like you said, they're usually dealing in nonfungible shit that's serialized and far easier to track. i guess the answer is they're just businesses that are extremely discerning about their market.
>>
>>215059759
Stupidest, most unlikely, plot point of any movie. The mob has been jacking trucks long before and after the teamsters; independents regularly unhitch too for a cut. Frankly it a perk of the job and insurance covers the load (unless you’re a useless twat businessman like Fieiri). Goodfellas got it right.
>>
>>215060505
>>215060562

the most extreme case of this that i can think of is stolen artwork. you're stealing something that's one of a kind, highly desirable, and known to billions of people on the planet. in cases like that, the person who buys it has to be careful about who they show. can you imagine going to take a piss at a fancy holiday party at some mansion and seeing a stolen Munch in the bathroom?
>>
>>215060223
Can someone shop the cafe photo with Guy’s tequila and like 20 crates of it behind him in the background.
>have some tequila
>have twenty
>>
>>215060505
>To this day I still do not understand how the fuck fences work.
That's because you're not a criminal. Criminals get to know other criminals from doing crime and time and they have their own networks.
>>
>>215059759
Nah, stuff like this is easy to move. You sell it to local bars and restaurants, preferably ones you own. A few bars could easily go through a million dollars in tequila in five years.
>>
>>215059712
Trucker slash /pol/ack here, same, been wondering when the other shoe drops and I have to start beating motherfuckers with my tire thumper. They dont allow us to carry but a nagging voice says to me things just may get bad enough they have to start.
>>
>>215059759
Seems it would be easy to find a couple of hurting bars and mom n pop liquor stores whod jump at the chance to score cheap product.

Kash on the Kase if he made the donate.
