Killing children used to be taboo in most productions, even horror movies (for the most part***). And if it WAS done, it would be done with some taste and not shown. Now you see it all the time in movies and shows. To the point you almost wonder if it's encouraged. Hereditary, house that jack built, nosferatu, Dr. Sleep, this, the new final destination, that scene with the little girl getting her head bit. In it chapter 2. Terrifier.
